Global Lighting’s Favorite Fashion Picks from the Red Carpet
There’s been much talk about who wore what on the Oscars red carpet since Sunday, always a hot topic the week after the Academy Awards. Some of the designers we tapped for our #NYFW pairings were front and center, as were a few tends we’ve noticed—black and white, and lots of sheen being chief amongst them.
Lara Spencer’s silver stunner by Kaufmann Franco was a front-runner for #bestdressed on Twitter. We had a Kaufmann Franco moment during our #NYFW duos, matching a shiny creation we spotted on the runways with the LZF Armadillo.
During the Oscars red carpet coverage, Adele remarked how her sparkly Jenny Packham gown weighed 15 kilos, quite a force to carry while belting out her sultry 007 tune “Skyfall.” She went on to say she heard Barbra Streisand, who also performed, once sang and danced in a dress weighing 50 kilos so she felt she was getting off easy!
We spotted this pretty Packham design on the runway during Fashion Week, our Secto 4220 sharing shimmering lines of light with the dress.
